Continental HDR2
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Improved load capacity
- Longer lasting tread life
- All season performance
OVERVIEW
The Continental HDR2 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model is created for the vehicle’s drive axle.
The tire is able to perform excellently in heavy-duty conditions, thanks to its strong structural materials. The reinforced construction greatly improves the model’s carrying and withstanding capability. The robust tread evenly distributes pressure across the tread to avoid pressure accumulation, keeping the tire in its optimal shape all the time. In this manner, the tire is able to perform exceptionally well while under large load and driving pressure. This makes it a superb choice for commercial vehicles.
As the tread is able to balance out load and driving pressure, the tire successfully avoids irregular wear. The tread’s self-cleaning properties eliminate rocks from the footprint and prevent them from harming the tread and casing, promoting a safer highway terrain performance. On the other hand, the compound slows down the overall tread wear rate in order to avoid early wear formations across the tread area. The combination of these features guarantees a longer lasting tread life and superb usability.
The Continental HDR2 performs remarkably well in all weather conditions as it utilizes its all season compound materials and detailed tread ribs. The sipe and groove pattern firmly grip the driving surface while tires are in motion, enhancing the traction on dry, wet, and snowy weather conditions. The circumferential and lateral grooves eliminate water and slush from the footprint in order to maximize the surface contact. The tire also actively resists the risk of hydroplaning, promoting a safer year round driving experience.
There might be discrepancies of sizes between brands and models of tires which have this size formatting. As the manufacturers only provide the tire width and the rim diameter with these tires, various brands and models will have size differences. In order to ensure the correct size is purchased, the overall tire diameter that is needed should be checked.
The Overall Diameter or O.D. advertized represents the tire’s overall diameter in inches, once the tire has been properly inflated and mounted per the manufacturer’s recommendation. This advertised number is provided to Priority Tire by the tire manufacturer.
